If you share your IPTV service with family members or children, you may want to restrict access to certain channels. Most IPTV apps include parental control features that let you hide or lock adult content behind a PIN.
TiviMate: Hide Channel Groups
- Go to Settings → Playlists
- Select your playlist
- Tap Manage Groups
- Uncheck any groups you want to hide (e.g., Adult, XXX)
- These channels will no longer appear in the channel list
TiviMate Premium also supports PIN-locking specific channels. Long-press a channel → Lock → set a PIN.
IPTV Smarters: Parental Controls
- Open IPTV Smarters and go to Settings
- Select Parental Control
- Enable parental controls and set a PIN code
- Select which channel categories to lock
- Save your settings
When parental controls are enabled, locked channels will require the PIN to be entered before they can be viewed.
General Tips
- Use a PIN that kids cannot guess — avoid 1234 or 0000
- Check all category names — adult content may be under different group names
- Lock the app settings — some apps let you PIN-protect the settings menu itself so controls cannot be changed
- Consider separate profiles — if your app supports profiles, create a restricted profile for children
